On this day 250 years in Philadelphia, the Continental Congress adopted a resolution for the establishment of three battalions of the Continental Army for the defense of South Carolina and another battalion for Georgia. In addition the Congress resolved that the South Carolina Convention

call a full and free representation of the people, and . . . establish such a form of Government as in their judgment will best produce the happiness of the people, and most effectually secure peace and good order

Today, November 4, 2025, the people of Virginia and New Jersey and New York City followed the recommendations of our Founding Fathers to form Governments as in their judgment will best produce the happiness of the people and effectually secure peace and good order.
