On this day 250 years ago in the Revolution — March 23, 1774

On this day 250 years ago, Thomas Chittenden, Ira Allen, Ethan Allen, Remember Baker and the other proprietors of the town of Burlington, Vermont held their first meeting in Salisbury, Connecticut. These men would go on to become the famed Green Mountain Boys whose heroic deeds include the capture of Fort Ticonderoga at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
